Corporate lunch for 80

A lunch in  June for 80 Suffolk land owners. Provenance was of particular importance so we let them know in advance where we would be sourcing. Nearly all of our produce was local: Asparagus cut that morning from Willow Tree Farm in Glemsford as well as the youngest freshest baby broad beans I have ever eaten that did not really need cooking (or even taking out of the pod!) we scattered them on top of goats cheese courgette tarts as they came out of the oven and served them warm the Breckland Brown Free range  eggs made the tart a superb deep yellow  and the whites went into the pavlovas. Humdinger potatoes from Norfolk, broccoli from Lincolnshire. Strawberries from Essex with our home made pavlovas. The only thing not from England was the soft Welsh goats cheese which has a lovely texture. We don’t cater for a lot of corporate events, as food is not often the most important part of the day but the landowners really appreciated the fresh cooked local produce and ate nearly all of my cucumber pickle with the Dingley Dell home cooked ham carved off the bone as needed.
